ACSA President’s Message for Eid Mubarak 2021

Dear valued members,

The holy month of Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and a great opportunity for all Muslims to purify their mind, body, heart and soul by fasting and praying to Almighty Allah.

Ramadan is not only for fasting but also all Muslims should dedicate themselves to self-sacrifice like abstaining from taking drink or food and physical needs, asking forgiveness for their wrongdoings and devoting yourselves to Allah.

As our Muslim friends usher in  Eid Al-Fitr, Shawwal 1442, at the end of  Ramadan,It’s clearly  a testimony of steadfastness of our Muslims friends.

I adore the strong devotion of the Muslims, who continued with their normal course of work and daily chores with great sacrifice.

It’s an excellent way of life for all of us to understand and  emulate.

Once again, Singaporeans are encouraged to brave the challenges brought about by the emerging  new COVID 19 clusters; even though the government’s announcement have somewhat dampened the festive spirit of many.

The bout of heighten Safety Management Measures (SMM) were announced to control and contain Covid 19 as we are experiencing a spate of new community cases. It calls for stricter adherence of SMM to remain safe during this challenging times.

We must continue to be resilient and adopt with fervour the safety measures put in place till 30 May 2021. This is to mitigate the spread of Covid 19 and reduce the upsurge of new clusters.

I truly appreciate that the heighten SMM have brought about some levels of operational inconveniences to you, our members. This short term pains are necessary and will pave the way for long term gains.

As active security practitioners, we must be positively poised to uphold the string  of measures to control and contain the pandemic, which is sweeping through the globe at an unfazed pace.

We must all play our part in a timely fashion to counter Covid 19, before the situation flares up.

Here’s wishing all Muslims a blessed and joyous Eid Mubarak 2021. Let’s all stay safe during the festivities and emerge winners in our battle against Covid 19.
